I just got a new email from Shanna letting everyone know that they have moved the book club time to 4:30 pm. Here is the email so you can check it out:

“Those of us who attended book club last Thursday at Wisebird discussed our options for meeting times and agreed that we would like to meet at 4:30 p.m., still on the 4th Thursday of each month.  The earlier start time works out for everyone and it will be easier to get to evening events like the Symphony.  I hope the new time does not exclude those who were not there to voice their opinion.

That being said, our next meeting will be on June 23 and we will be discussing “The 19th Wife”, a murder mystery that has something to do with Brigham Young.  I haven’t read it yet so I cannot comment on it except that it sounds intriguing.

The July meeting will be held July 28 and we will be discussing “Wolf Hall” a historical novel set in England at the time of one of the Henry’s (I can’t remember which one).  Should be another interesting discussion.

Have a nice summer.  We will need some suggestions for future books so let me know what you are reading this summer that you would recommend.  See you soon and happy reading.

“Just a quick reminder that we will be meeting next Thursday, May 26, at 6:00 to discuss “The White Tiger”.  I read it in one day…..could not tear myself away.  I loved the movie Slum-Dog Millionaire and this book was another glimpse of India.  Maybe that’s why I liked it so much.  It’s a quick read so it’s not to late to read it.  Even if you don’t read the book, I think you will like the discussion.  There are no spoilers because the “spoiler” is in the reviews at the beginning of the book and in the first few lines.  So join us if you can.

I am attaching an e-mail I received from Wisebird Bookery regarding Book Club meetings at Wisebird.  We need to talk about our options at the meeting next week.  If you cannot attend, please let me know by e-mail what your preference would be regarding future meetings.  See you soon.

        So, the crepes are becoming SUPER popular, (we’re having a hard time keeping up with all the orders) and just between you and me, I think if we can get just a TON of people to come in this weekend and next we might be able to convince Jen and Margaret to start offering them during the week!!
