Wisebird Book Club will meet on Thursday, March 24 to discuss “The Invisible Wall” by Harry Bernstein. The author was born in 1910 and wrote the book when he was 93 years old. It is the true story of his childhood in a milling town in England where the Christians lived on one side of the street and the Jews on the other. The book begins pre-World War I and is the first in a trilogy.
In April will discuss “The Hunger Games” by Suzanne Collins. This book is also the first in a trilogy. “The Hunger Games” was written for a young adult audience but has become very popular with book clubs and adults of all ages. Most of my married children and their spouses have read the series and my husband is currently reading the third book (a real rarity for him).
Our April meeting will be held on Thursday, the 28th. Both discussions will begin at 6:00. We hope you can join us for the evening.
